A BRIEF HISTORY

Unique within chiropractic, the Congress has always been student-driven, inclusive, and passionate about developing greater unity in the global profession. WCCS first gathered at Logan College in 1980 with 11 Chiropractic Colleges represented. 

The most recent Annual General Meeting (2018), hosted by the University of Johannesburg in South Africa saw more than triple that amount of colleges represented from all around the world.

Regional Events: Each year, one of the colleges in each region hosts a 2 or 3 day long regional event. This is an informal weekend filled with talks, workshops and networking events.

Annual General Meetings: An AGM is a formal 7 day long event, which comprises of talks, debates, discussions and networking events. It is also where proposals for change can be put forward by chapters and be voted on by all members of congress. A congress convener has the opportunity to host the global chiropractic student community in a region of the world chosen by the previous congress. In the past, conveners have highlighted their college, their history, their chiropractic perspective, and a taste of life in their home country. Additionally, a new Team of Officials is elected each year at this event.
