ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2020

Opens Monday, June 15th at 9pm ET until Friday, June 26th, 2020 at 5pm ET by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Nominees will be announced on Facebook at this time. Please note, that only those registered to attend the online AGM are candidates for election. A list of delegates registered can be found on the delegate drive on June 15th.
Acceptance of nomination/application by nominee is due Wednesday, July 1st, 2020 by 5pm ET. At this time your full application is due. This includes your 1st full campaign speech video, as well as your written application to be uploaded to the delegate drive or emailed to email@example.com. If this is not turned in in due time, your bid for the position will be disqualified. This video is a maximum of a 5-minute speech, with a 5-minute question period. The predetermined questions will be found in the delegate drive, as well as the written application, as of June 15th, 2020.
The campaign will last from July 1st – 10th. During this time, chapters and registered delegates can send candidates questions to be answered in an optional follow up video (minimum of 3 questions, maximum 5 mins). By July 13th at 5pm ET, candidates must have posted this second video if so desired, and campaigning is concluded. Delegates have one day to view additional videos. On July 15th at 5PM ET the first voting link through google forms will be sent to chapter emails, and will cover the Board elections minus the wild card spot. This is due after 12 hours. At 5pm ET on July 16th a second link will be sent for the wild card spot to be filled on the board.
If you are running unopposed for the position after the application/nomination deadline, and are in good standing with the membership, the position will automatically be yours.
If you are running opposed for a position, elections will take place electronically and a 51% majority of voting members will determine the successful candidate. Successful candidates will be contacted by personal emails and posted on facebook.

Eric G. Russell the Dean of Student Engagement and Special Projects and holds the rank of Professor at Parker University. Dr. Russell obtained his chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1996 and was the first Diplomate of Philosophical Chiropractic Standards (DPhCS) to be named as President of a chiropractic college in the profession’s history when he served in that role at the New Zealand College of Chiropractic.
Because of his emphasis on service to the profession, Dr. Russell has received numerous professional and teaching awards. Some of his most prestigious awards include induction to the Palmer College of Chiropractic Great Hall of Philosophers and the Palmer Hall of Presidents, Parker College of Chiropractic Faculty of the Year, Fellow of the International Chiropractors Association and Chiropractor of the Year for both Illinois and Texas. Dr. Russell is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Higher Education at the University of North Texas. Dr. Russell strives to inspire chiropractors to be the best they can be at the philosophy, science and art of chiropractic.

Dr. Thistle is a chiropractor, educator, renowned international speaker, knowledge-transfer leader, evidence-based health care advocate, entrepreneur & medicolegal consultant. He founded RRS Education in 2006 and currently acts as the company’s CEO. RRS Education provides knowledge transfer and continuing-education options for chiropractors worldwide via weekly Research Reviews, Online Courses and informative Seminars. Dr. Thistle is proud to offer complimentary access to RRS Education’s weekly Research Reviews and database of almost 1000 existing Reviews to chiropractic students!
In addition to running RRS Education, Shawn also provides expert medicolegal reporting in chiropractic malpractice cases and lectures part-time at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (in Toronto, Canada) in the Orthopedics Department. He is also on the Research Committee for the Canadian Chiropractic Research Foundation (CCRF) as well as the Steering Committee for the Canadian Chiropractic Guideline Initiative (CCGI). He lives in Cookstown (just north of Toronto, Canada) with his wife Katie and two young sons, Calvin and Everett.

tRAVIS cORCORAN, dc
A proper philosopher and Liberal Arts enthusiast, who helps aspiring scholars properly pursue the life of an autodidactic. In addition to owning and operating several healthcare practices in the Netherlands, he mentors new graduates on the first three of the seven classical Liberal Arts. Previously Dr. Corcoran studied Nuclear Power while serving in the United States military. Later he earned his University Bachelor's degree in Philosophy with a minor in Biology. Currently Dr. Corcoran proudly serves on two international boards of directors, and as advisor to one national board of directors in Singapore. Additionally he donates his time and finances regularly to principled colleges and research. His two favorite personal hobbies apart from always learning are tennis and rock-climbing
