Professional chiropractic care is a service which helps people achieve and maintain health by meeting the healthcare needs of the spinal column. The body of knowledge required to prepare professionals for this field includes course instruction in areas such as Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology,
Biochemistry, or Public Health. Course work in these areas is distributed within the first four years of instruction.
The professional core that we have in MCC consists of 5 courses that promote knowledge in the area of applied sciences, and that facilitate
informed practice in the chiropractic field. Courses include: Neuro-Orthopaedics, Radiology, Biomechanics, and Chiropractic Techniques and
Methods. Students who are in their final year are required to complete a directed field-based internship at the University’s Chiropractic Center.
Our Center focuses its chiropractic education on pedagogical methods that are based on case resolution and problem solving in personalized
tutorial sessions. Students are also given exposure to scientific research and its applicability in the practice of chiropractic.
